Look, let’s all be honest here – Total War: Rome II was a bit of a mess when it came out a few months ago. I mean, I’m, probably the biggest Total War fan there is, and even I’m willing to admit it is definitely not the best title they have released, bordering on “a bit shit”.
But, hey, at least they are trying to make amends, first with some beefy patches that have fixed a lot of the problems, and now with some free DLC (which will be paid DLC later). So hopefully the good will isn’t going unnoticed by players, and hopefully it’s making the game better.
It’s packing three new factions, including 8 new playable units. Oh, and it’s called the Nomadic Tribes Culture Pack. You can pick it up now for free until October 29th, when they will start charging for it.
The three new factions are The Roxolani, Massagetae and Royal Scythians. I’m an historian and I only have cursory knowledge of those three peoples, so I can’t really give you any more insight than that.
